While pain relievers can be very good for relieving short term pain, you should seek the care of a doctor if the pain persists or if there is no apparent reason for the pain. A doctor will be able to tell you if the pain is associated with a more serious condition. Each of these pain relievers act similarly to alleviate pain, they do have a few different characteristics and some are better for certain instances over others.
